Dr. Namita Shanbhag
Dr. Namita Shanbhag hails from a small and picturesque town of Honnavar, in North Kanara, Karnataka. A merit scholar, she graduated from the prestigious SDM College of Dental Sciences, in 1994, and has been practicing in Bangalore ever since. Baliga Dental Clinic(BDC), Unit 1 was planned as a one or two year trial, to gain experience, but later evolved into a lifetime commitment to the area, on Hosur Main Road. In a very short time, while getting to know the people and finding a very caring and welcoming attitude from the people of this area, this made Dr.Namita want to practice her entire career in this part of south Bangalore.
With an increase in demand for her service from patient well wishers, her Unit 1 setup at Huskur Gate had outgrown, hence Dr.Namita felt the need for a larger place and staff to handle an ever expanding patient base, which is why this large 750 sqft. premise attached to the Electronic City bus stop was leased out. Dr.Namita’s vision of a state of the art Dental Clinic, very warm and comfortable practice facility came to fruition in May 2009 with the opening of BDC, Unit2. Here she and her staff can utilize all of their advanced training with high end equipment now available with the aim of providing ideal and complete oral rehabilitation care for all their clients.
Dr. Namita holds a Post-Graduate degree in Community and Preventive Dentistry. She is also an academician and is a faculty as an assistant professor at Government dental college and research institute, Bangalore ,engaging herself in teaching the undergraduates as well as the post graduates in her specialsation.
She has been actively involved in the organization of successful dental outreach programme, school dental programs and camps.
